When you finalize your profile, you have the choice to disclose your sexual orientation to us. By providing such information, you give your consent for us to utilize it for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Additionally, you have the option to share supplementary information such as your bio, interests, as well as visual content like photos and videos. In order to incorporate specific content like pictures or videos, you may grant us access to your camera or photo album.

Information we receive from others

Apart from the information you provide us directly, we also receive information about you from various sources, including:

1. Members: Our members may share information about you while using our services. This can happen when they interact with you or if they submit a report that involves you.

2. Social Media: You have the option to share information with us through your social media account. For example, if you choose to create and log into your account using your social media or other accounts (such as Facebook, Google, or Apple), or if you upload photos from one of your social media accounts (like Instagram or Spotify) onto our services.

Affiliates: As a part of the Match Group family of businesses, we prioritize the safety and security of our members. In the event that you have been banned from another Match Group service, we may receive your information to take appropriate actions, such as closing your account or preventing you from creating an account on our services.

Other Partners: Our partners, on whose services our ads are published, may provide us with information about you (including details on the success of a campaign). In compliance with legal regulations, we may also receive information about individuals suspected or convicted of misconduct from third parties. This is done as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of our members.

Data is generated or collected automatically when you utilize our services. This data includes technical information about the features you have utilized, how you have used them, and the devices you have used to access our services. More detailed information can be found below.

Usage Information: By using our services, data is generated regarding your activity on our platform. This includes how you utilize the services (such as logging in, using specific features, taking actions, viewing information, accessing referring webpages, and interacting with advertisements) as well as your interactions with other members (such as connecting and interacting with other members, and exchanging messages with them).

Device information: Our company gathers data from the device(s) you utilize to access our services. This includes details about the hardware and software, such as the IP address, device ID and type, app settings and characteristics, app crashes, advertising IDs (randomly generated numbers that can be reset or disabled through your device's settings), and identifiers linked to cookies or other technologies that can uniquely identify a device or browser.

Information obtained through cookies and similar technologies: We employ cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons, pixels, and SDKs) to identify you and/or your device(s). We may also permit others to use these technologies. For more information on why we use them and how you can have better control over their usage, please refer to our Cookie Policy.

Certain internet browsers, such as Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome, possess a feature called "Do Not Track" (DNT) which allows users to indicate their preference of not being tracked during online activities. When a website receives a DNT signal, it can be blocked by the browser from gathering specific information about the user. However, it is important to note that not all browsers provide a DNT option and the DNT signals themselves are not standardized. Consequently, numerous businesses, including ours, presently do not acknowledge or act upon DNT signals.

 Other information with your consent:

In the event that you provide us with your consent, we have the capability to gather precise geolocation data, specifically your latitude and longitude, from your device. This collection of your geolocation information may occur in the background, even if you are not actively using our services, as long as the permission you granted us explicitly allows for such collection. However, if you choose to decline permission for us to collect your precise geolocation, we will respect your decision and refrain from collecting it. Please note that certain services that rely on precise geolocation may not be accessible to you in this case.

If you decide to take part in our Photo Verification feature, we gather your facial geometry data, which may be classified as biometric data in certain jurisdictions, in order to confirm your identity. Further details about Photo Verification and the processing of your facial geometry data can be found in our documentation.

Regarding other information, we may request your consent to collect additional data, such as photos and videos, if you wish to share them or participate in streaming features available on our services.

This includes situations where we are unable to verify your identity, the request is unlawful or invalid, or it may infringe upon the rights of others such as trade secrets, intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. If you would like to obtain information about another member, such as copies of messages received from them through our service, the other member will need to contact us and provide written consent for the release of such information. We may also ask them to provide proof of identity before we can fulfill the request. Additionally, there may be instances where we are unable to accommodate requests to object to or restrict the processing of personal information. 7. How Long We Retain Your Information

We retain your personal information for the duration required for legitimate business purposes (as specified in Section 4) and in accordance with applicable laws. If you choose to discontinue using our services, you have the option to close your account, which will result in your profile no longer being visible to other members. It is important to note that if your account remains inactive for a period of two years, it will be automatically closed by our system. Once your account is closed, we will proceed to delete your personal information as outlined below:

In order to ensure the safety and security of our members, we have implemented a retention period of three months following the closure of your account, or one year following an account ban. During this time, we retain your information in case it becomes necessary to investigate any unlawful or harmful activities. The retention of information during this safety retention period is based on our legitimate interest, as well as the potential interests of third-party victims.

Once the designated time period for data retention has passed, we proceed to delete your data, while retaining only limited information for specific purposes, as outlined below:

a) In order to comply with legal obligations regarding data retention, we maintain limited data. This includes keeping transaction data for a period of 10 years to adhere to tax and accounting legal requirements, retaining credit card information for the duration in which a user may challenge a transaction, and preserving "traffic data" or logs for one year to meet legal data retention obligations. Additionally, we retain records of consents provided by members for a period of five years to demonstrate our compliance with applicable laws.

b) We also retain limited information based on our legitimate interest. This includes maintaining customer care records and supporting data, as well as imprecise location information related to downloads or purchases, for a period of five years. This is done to support our customer care decisions, protect our rights, and enable us to defend ourselves in the event of a claim. Furthermore, we retain information regarding the existence of past accounts and subscriptions, which we delete three years after the closure of your most recent account. This is done to ensure accurate financial forecasting and reporting. Profile data is retained for one year in anticipation of potential litigation, for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. Lastly, data necessary to prevent banned members from opening new accounts is retained for as long as necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of our members.

c) In conclusion, we retain data based on our lawful interest in situations where there is an unresolved or possible matter, claim, or disagreement that necessitates us to retain information. This is especially true if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request to preserve data, as we are obligated to comply with our legal responsibilities. Additionally, data may be required for legal proceedings.

Additionally, we manage the services provided by contractors and vendors. If you fall into any of these categories, specific terms of our Privacy Policy are applicable to the processing of your personal information. These terms cover various aspects such as the entity responsible for processing your personal information, transfers of personal information, your rights under applicable law, how to reach out to us, and California-specific information.

The personal information we collect from job applicants may vary depending on the specific position they are applying for. This information typically includes the details provided by the applicants themselves during the application process, as well as their professional qualifications, background, and reference information that may be shared with us by recruiters or other third parties. We utilize this information to facilitate the recruitment process, which may ultimately result in an employment contract.

In the case of contractors and vendor representatives, we may process identification information and work-related details as required to effectively manage our relationship with both the individual and their employer. This processing is necessary for the performance of the services agreement and to establish, exercise, or defend any potential legal claims.

To support our recruitment and technical data processing operations, we may share personal information with service providers. Additionally, if you have a business relationship with employees of one of our affiliate companies, we may also share your personal information with them. It is important to note that we retain your personal information only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil these purposes.
